National Association of Japanese Canadians (NAJC) is a non-profit incorporated community organization created in 1947. NAJC represents Japanese Canadians in the community and concentrates on human rights and community development issues. NAJC played a fundamental role in negotiating Redress Settlement signed, by Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and NAJC President Art Miki, on September 22 1988. The Redress Settlement recognizes the hardship and struggle that was faced by Japanese Canadians during World War Two.
